THE FRIDAY NIGHT SERIES
Our Friday Night Series will return with a bang in September with the dynamic and entertaining saxophonist Simon Spillett (25th). Simon plays with a great deal of verve and panache in a style not dissimilar from his idol Tubby Hayes. He is also a great raconteur with a dry wit.
In October we welcome, all the way from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, alto legend Greg Abate (30th). We round off the season with the final visit of the year from Liane Carroll (November 27th).
We are in the process of putting our 2027 programme together but we have confirmed Derek Nash (29th January), Liane Carroll (12th February – Valentine’s Special) and John Etheridge (26th March).
The Jazz Cafe present the finest jazz in the South, spotlighting the stars of the UK jazz scene, established masters and burgeoning young talent in a relaxed, informal setting with friendly, attentive service, fine wine and a small a la carte menu.
Doors open 7.00pm. These performances usually sell out quickly and we strongly recommend you to book early.
