American ex-pat vocalist Rachel Gould settled in Germany in 1975 after studying classical singing and cello at Boston University. She has since divided her time between the Netherlands and the UK. She has performed with the cream of the European jazz scene as well as visiting American artists – most notably Chet Baker. As an educator she is respected and admired for her insight and generosity. As a performer she has a deep affective style and keen awareness of space.
