Art Themen has been one of Britain’s leading tenor saxophonists for sixty years. In his early years he was part of the British Blues explosion, playing with Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated. He has played alongside Michael Garrick and Stan Tracey and has developed a unique and idiosyncratic style. Alongside his career as an orthopaedic surgeon he has continued playing and today he is hailed as one of our most versatile and accommodating of performers.
